Fitness can be confusing as heck
Skinny tea? Keto diet? Supplements? Never mind the actual working out part! Fitness has become hugely over complicated. Leaving a majority of the population confused, mislead and taken advantage of.
Well, if you want the tea. . . It’s actually not that complicated. Let’s nail down the basic principles.
☕️ Want to lose weight? Calories in vs. calories out. Eat less, do more. People often glamorize certain diets, claiming that Keto or Low-Carb got them there. Well, no...calories in vs. calories out. Pick your method, preferably one that is sustainable.
☕️ Want to “tone up” or “lean out”? Resistance training. Your 1 hour sessions on the elliptical aren’t going to help you tone up. Pick up some dumbbells, use a cable machine, find your way around a barbell.
☕️ You need supplements in order to be fit? Absolutely not. This is one subject that drives me crazy. Unless you’re an elite athlete or you are deficient in a vitamin/mineral, you don’t need supplements to reach your goals. They’re called supplements for a reason. Personally, I will only buy some form of protein powder (usually whey isolate) and creatine. Even then, I don’t need this. Both can and are primarily obtained by food.
I could add at least a dozen more things to this list. There are so many misconceptions within fitness and I love providing people with the truth. Fitness doesn’t have to be hard, get your body moving, eat nutritious food, drink plenty water and get your sleep. Master these 4 things before trying to level up. ✨
